I have an appointment to see my Ophthalmologist Monday morning, but it will take about a week for the new contacts to come in.  What does this mean for me?  It means that I cannot drive at night.  I’m stuck to daytime driving only, and even then I have to be careful.

I’ve had the beginnings of a cold all week, well I ended up staying in bed all day today.  I have been just to sick to move.  I hate it when I get this sick, I’d prefer to be able to sit up and watch tv or something, but not today.

I had planned on hanging out with a friend tomorrow, but I’ve had to cancel on him.  Damn it.  I am just to sick and I need to rest so this cold won’t stick around.

And, I just got a bit to tired.  Lates.

I see that the last time I wrote, was way back in January.  So much has happened since then, to much to tell.  Maybe I can get most of it out in list form:

1. In April I moved.

2. In June I started growing.

3. In August I reconnected with someone I love.

4. As of Last week I’ve lost 30 pounds and counting.

I know that, that doesn’t seem like a lot has happened, but they could all become really long stories.  I am trying to learn to not be so wordy.  Another long story that no one wants to read.

I will say that I’ve had a lot going on lately.  

I’ve been seeing a lot of a dear friend, Steve.  I really enjoy spending time with him.  He has a good sense of humor and is a GEEK!!!!  I love me some geek.  Oh!  And he’s a REDHEAD!!!  Do I need to repeat myself?  He is a redhead.

I guess it is clear why I haven’t been showing to many of these photos.  They used red lights at the show and I just hate fighting them.  Still can’t see the red hair, but really, is this tale about his red hair?  Oh Yeah!  Hahaha!

I am finally binding off on Ande’s blanket.  I am so glad it is nearly done.

I went to see The Green Hornet with Jaron, my cousin last night.  We liked it for the most part.  We saw the 3D version, and now I’m thinking that we should have gone to the 2D version.  I didn’t see where it was really necessary to have it in 3D.  It was a good movie though.  I found the parts that were meant to be funny were.  I really liked the fact that they gave a nod to Bruce Lee in it.

Not doing much today.  Just watching NCIS with mom.  Did I mention that my allergies have been getting the better of me lately?  Yeah, so I’m not feeling up to much else today.

Went to see RED at the dollar theater today with Ted.  I really liked that movie.  I’m wishing I’d seen it sooner, but at least I got to see it before it was gone.  I really like Bruce Willis and I love it when he does action with a dash of humor.  I also hadn’t seen Karl urban in anything lately so it was a treat to see him.  Not to mention several others.

I’m almost finished with the 7th Sookie Stackhouse book.  I’m actually going to try to finish it today.

I guess I am going to be sitting at my Aunt’s house for half the day tomorrow.  My cousin has a package coming in that needs a signature.  The poor guy has been waiting on this since Christmas.

I haven’t been knitting at all, though I should be.

I will be reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen as well.  Then I’ll read Pride and Prejudice (for the 4th time).  Stacy and I are going to try to read them together so that we can not only have discussion, but companionship while we read these.  I personally adore Jane Austen and her writing, but it is an old classical writing and can take time.

I did a little reading last night before the cold medicine knocked me out.  Didn’t get more than a few pages though.  I’m waiting on Stacy to decide which Jane Austen book she wants to read first before I start.

Mom goes back to work next week, so it is going to be very quiet at home, then the next week I start classes.  I’m only taking 3 classes this semester.  I don’t think I could do more than that anyway, especially since one of the classes is an accounting class.  I’m going to be oh so busy.

Haven’t been knitting.  I should be, but I haven’t been.  No photography either.

I do know that I am going to do 2 book challenges.  I am going to do the 2011 E-Book Challenge and a Jane Austen Challenge.

The 2011 E-Book Challenge is this:

– Curious – Read 3 e-books.

– Fascinated – Read 6 e-books.

– Addicted – Read 12 e-books.

– Obsessed – Read 20 e-books.

(– Possessed – Read 50 e-books.

– Fanatical – Read 75 e-books.

– Monomaniacal – Read 100 e-books.)

These last three levels were added after I wrote this blog.  I am planning on reading 75 to 100 e-books.

Now, to some 20 e-books seems like a lot, but I read over 100 this past year, so for me this isn’t a strong challenge, but I will also be reading all 6 of the Jane Austen books separate from this challenge.

The Jane Austen Challenge is a little different this year, I’m not interested in reading Jane Austen inspired works, I just want to read her’s.  So, I am only going to read Jane Austen’s books for this and call it done.

I also want to make this a no yarn purchases year.  My goal is to not purchase any yarn all year unless I can use up at least half my stash on projects that I intend to sell or give as gifts.  I also will not spend more than $100.00 on yarn for the year if and when I do meet the required use of stash.

Other than that, I really haven’t given a lot of thought into 2011.  It just doesn’t seem right that it is already 2011.
