OMG! Anne Rice is at it again!!!!

It is available as a pre-order item.  I have already ordered it and cannot wait to start reading.  I ordered the Nook version from Barnes and Noble.  I am hoping this means that the digital copy will be on my tablet waiting when I wake up that morning.  I am not such a fan that I am going to stay up all night waiting.  Hahaha!  So, I expect my knitting to stop for about a day and a half.  I’m pretty sure I won’t stop reading until it is done.

This is huge news for us Lestat fans.  Vampires are supposed to be bad.  They do NOT sparkle!

What, what?

Yesterday was the first day of ‘no more cell phone’.  When Sonny and I got home, I turned off my cell phone.  Yeah, you read that right, I turned off my cell phone.

I felt the urge to turn it on a couple times, but only because I wanted to check the time.  My phone is also my watch.  I may have to get a new battery for my watch if I am going to continue to do this.

I also wanted to look at instagram and post a photo.  I have a tablet, so I used it to do that for about 20 minutes.  I feel like I was cheating by doing that, so I am going to try not to do that tonight.

Why am I doing this?  Because I feel that my time would be better spent just being with Sonny, knitting, reading a book, etc.  I don’t want to be one of those people that only exist ‘online’.  I don’t want to be alone, but have 400 internet friends.  I want to hang out with Sonny, Ande, and my family.

So, for those of you that see me online all day and night, get used to only seeing me during the day.  Because after 5:00 pm, I am no longer going to be online.  I am going to be with my Sonny or with other family.

May is here!

Wow!  It is the second of May and a FRIDAY!!!  Yay!!!  I get to spend the weekend with my Sonny and hopefully the weather will cool down.

I didn’t wake up in a good mood, but Something happened after I saw someone at the post office.  I realized that I am happy.  I am happy because I get to see, hold, kiss and be with the love of my life, Sonny.  How could I possibly let anything get to me or ruin my day when I have that???

I stopped by Sonny’s work just to say ‘Hi’ and get some love.  Talk about feel amazing!  He even mentioned that I was in a good mood.

Anyway, not a lot else to say.  Just been knitting, sewing, and crafting.  Oh, and working in Mom’s yard.  Talk about scary weeds this year and random outcropping of poison oak.  She’s never had poison oak here before and this year it is all over.

Well, back to knitting.

Not much to add

Well again, not a lot to say.

Sonny and I are doing well.  Things have been so steady lately that I just do not have anything to say.  I love him so much I cannot imagine loving him more.

The weather has gone warm here, so I have been doing a lot of yard work for mom.  I am currently sunburned on my shoulders.  Thought my legs were burned too, but during the night, they turned brown.  I’m still so pale you need sunglasses to look at me, but I’m better.

Been doing a lot of sock knitting lately.  Trying to get my older stash yarn used up so that I don’t feel as guilty when new yarn shows up.

If you want to see what is going on with me on a more regular basis, I can be found on instagram as TheKnottyKnitter.

What I’m up to

What am I up to?  Well, when I first decided I’d write a post here, I thought I had a lot to say.  Each character that gets typed means I have less to say…  odd.

First of all, Sonny and I are doing well.  It has been more than a year and I still cannot believe I am finally with the love of my life.  He makes me so happy.

Second… I’ve been doing a ton of sewing and knitting.  The sewing is for my etsy.com shop, The Knotty Knitter.  The knitting has been mostly for me lately, but I do have a couple things going for others.

Mom’s hyacinths have been blooming.  I just had to get at least one good shot of them.  They have been nice to see as I walk up to her house.  It is a wonderful reminder that Spring truly is coming.

This is one of the socks I am currently working on.  It is the Stitch Surfer.  I am not so sure I like this pattern that much anymore.  Once I finish this pair, I’m going to go back to knitting plain socks for a while I think.

A recent purchase.  Candy Skein yarn in Sweet Clover Candy!!!!  This is my second purchase from Candy Skein.  I foresee more purchases in the future.

One of the many knitting project bags that I have been sewing.  This one is using fabric I have had for so long I don’t remember when we purchased it.  I am thinking it was in the early 90’s.

These are some others that I have sewn.  I am trying to get more done so that I can do a large shop update.

Well…

Just a heads up.  I am planning on taking an extended break from writing in this blog.  Nothing personal against my readers, just want to focus my attention on my knitting blog.
